If you are an iPhone 4 owner and thought you were going to get turn-by-turn direction support and that super whizzy new flyover feature demoed by Apple at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, think again.
Apple has confirmed in the small print on its website that those two features will not be coming to the iPhone 4.
Buried at the bottom of the Maps page Apple states: “Flyover and turn-by-turn navigation will be available only on iPhone 4S and iPad 2 or later.”
Apple also uses the small print to warn: “Some features may not be available in all countries or all areas.”
Meanwhile, the iPhone 3GS, while getting iOS 6, will miss out on a number of features including VIP list, VIP and Flagged Smart mailboxes, FaceTime, Offline reading and, of course, Siri. View the original article here
